How We Got Here
Allgood Construction & Renovations was founded in 2014 by Mike Allgood, a third-generation tradesman who grew up watching his father and grandfather build homes across Fairfield County. After spending his early career working for larger general contractors, Mike started Allgood with a simple premise: homeowners deserve a contractor who communicates clearly, prices honestly, and finishes what they start.
We started with kitchen and bathroom remodels in the Westport and Darien area. Word spread. Within three years we had expanded to full home additions, new construction, and basement finishing — and our crew had grown from two people to twelve. Today we serve homeowners across all of Connecticut, from Greenwich to Hartford to the shoreline.
We're still a family operation at heart. Mike is on every job site. Our project managers have been with us for years. We don't chase volume — we take on the projects we can do well and give each one the attention it deserves.

What We Stand For
How We Work
Reliability
We show up when we say we will. We finish when we say we will. If something changes, we tell you before you have to ask.
Quality
We don't cut corners to hit a number. Every job is built to last — the right materials, the right methods, done once and done right.
Transparency
Our quotes are detailed and our invoices match them. No surprise line items, no vague allowances. You know exactly what you're paying for.
Respect
We treat your home like it's ours. Daily cleanup, careful protection of finished surfaces, and a crew that's professional from day one to final walkthrough.
